Cyril and Amy Cheung Aged Care Complex
Sheng Kung Hui Cyril and Amy Cheung Aged Care Complex is the first integrated service complex fully financed, designed and constructed by Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council. It is dedicated to providing one-stop support for older people through residential care, day care, outpatient rehabilitation, community support and other services that respond comprehensively to their needs at different stages.
A key feature is its transitional rehabilitation home centred on stroke rehabilitation, which provides short-term, intensive rehabilitation for stroke patients recently discharged from hospital. A multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietitians, nurses and social workers develops an individualized rehabilitation plan for each service user, focusing on independence, mobility, swallowing and communication to help them gradually return to community life.
The Complex provides comprehensive facilities. Residential services offer accommodation, medical and nursing care, rehabilitation training and emotional support in a safe and comfortable environment. The day care centre offers both Community Care Service Voucher for the Elderly services and self-financing services, providing frail older people with professional care and social activities while relieving pressure on carers.
