From the President

Welcome Message

Since 2002, the Association of Long Term Care for Elderly In Chinese Communities has organized the World Congress on Long-Term Care of Chinese Communities in a different region or city each year to promote the development of long-term care services across Chinese communities. The Congress has been held in Hong Kong (2002, 2011 and 2018), Taipei (2004, 2009 and 2015), Shanghai (2005, 2010 and 2024), Macao (2006, 2013 and 2023), Beijing (2007 and 2016), Hangzhou (2012 and 2019), Ningbo (2014) and Yantai (2017). Each Congress has welcomed more than 500 scholars, policymakers, long-term care service providers and other experts from government, industry, academia and research across numerous regions, cities and countries, generating a strong response throughout the long-term care field.

To continue advancing long-term care services across Chinese communities, establish a platform for academic exchange and experience sharing, and discuss important long-term care issues together, this Congress will be held from 12 to 14 November 2026 at Hong Kong Science Park in Shatin, Hong Kong.

Congress activities will include keynote speeches, paper exchanges and poster presentations covering elderly care and long-term care services across numerous Chinese communities. In addition to inviting experts from Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas to deliver specialist presentations, the Congress sincerely welcomes experts, scholars and professionals working in elderly services, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation and management. The Congress will provide a platform for participants to present their research insights and findings and share valuable practical experience in long-term care. We are confident that this Congress will deliver fruitful outcomes and benefit every participant.

To promote the exchange of practical experience between local and visiting long-term care professionals, visits to long-term care organizations and service units will be arranged before the Congress. Local and visiting participants are welcome to register.

We look forward to gathering with everyone at the Congress in Hong Kong this November. See you there!
